Volkswagen Polo price starts at Rs 5.71 Lakh in New Delhi (ex-showroom). The Polo GT TSI, on the other hand, goes up against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS.
For this size, it's a solid & tough built.- Good FC for a 1.6.- Moderately comfy seats.- Nice sporty steering. Turning circle/radius is quite small.- Good handling (takes corners very well for this size) & acceleration (the speed picks up whenever you rev it).- Elegant and nice leg and front cockpit dim lights.- Cruise control. I enjoyed using them on LEKAS highway.- Smooth driving experience and good for long distance. Very stable (for this size) to cruise on high speeds.- Moderate headroom & simple interior.- Aisin 6 speed conventional auto - smooth gear change. Without DSG.- Touch screen audio system is very simple to use.- Auto up and down for all windows.- Bought it on end year promo, good price for a new German car.- Rear air-cond vent. Good for our climate condition.- Just a tap on the key to open the rear trunk.- Overall NVH is moderately good. Tight rear legroom (3 adults would be squeezed like sandwich at the back but better than Fiesta)- No auto fold side mirrors.- No ESC.- No engine sound insulation.
The engine's roar is visible when high rev.- No lights on the trunk.- For this price, airbag is only 2 at the front. No side and rear airbags.- No panic button.- No rear or middle dim light.- Can still open the door from inside eventhough the lock is engaged.- Speaker feels cheap.- No DRL and auto lights.- There's only 1 USB port (for the radio) and no rear USB inlet port.- No door panel lights. Auto folding side mirrors with turn signals should come standard.- Service interval is 15000km but i doubt with our climate conditions. Should go for 10000km.- Should provide rear or middle dim light and trunk light and door panel light as standard.- All 4 speakers should be upgraded.- Put more USB inlet port.- At least DRL should come as standard.- Engine dampener should come as standard.SAFETY:- At least 4 airbags instead of 2.- Central locking is good and you can't open the door from outside, but you can still open the door from inside eventhough the lock is engaged.
Should put mechanism and better central lock.- Should provide panic button. Good for woman drivers.
Very poor customer service, once sold no commitment of service, within short kilometers my vehicle had lot of issues,EGR failure (spare cost is 45000)Turbo failure ( spare cost is 80000)Lower arm failure (4000)Engine bed(5000)Even escalating to VW head quarters and CEO no response from the company end. VW dealers ranking is worst service in the industry. When I try to contact the Indian office, they do call blocking, such worst company never had in service industry. However the product is well engineered, if after market support is not good, can't afford in current scenario. I bought the new car(POLO Highline petrol) in end of March(They did home delivery on 2nd April), from PPS motors Tirumalagiri, HYD. They gave manufacturer defect car to me, the same issue 3 times and engine leakage.Th issue with this car, engine malware function. For solving the issue, I visited the Elite Bangalore service station(1st week of Aug/2016). They did something and return the car to me. Traveled KM is 3231 when the indication came. The Same issue repeated again(engine malware function).
Car towing by road assistance(that time I am a vacation with family). The car reached to PPS Motors Hyderabad service station(13/Oct/2016), they find the issue and replaced with new sensors. They took some long trip for testing and they intimated to me, your car ready. Next day I collected the car(31/Oct/2016). Traveled KM is 5634 when the indication came.

They have returned the car in a week. Traveled KM is 6360 when the indication cameNow engine getting leaking, after service as well.
Volkswagen has introduced the Polo hatchback with a smaller petrol engine. The new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder engine replaces the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The new engine is more fuel efficient compared to the outgoing version. Where the older 1.2-litre MPI petrol returned 16.47 kmpl (ARAI), the new smaller 1-litre MPI petrol engine offers 18.78 kmpl. The new engine, though smaller in size, continues to deliver the same horsepower figure of 75 bhp. The 1-litre engine however, produces a peak torque of 95 Nm as compared to 110 Nm in the older 1.2-litre engine.
Volkswagen Polo ExteriorPolo is the narrowest of all its strongest competitors and has a relatively lower stance. The sleek design is backed by the lean front radiator grille featuring a thin chrome strip running between the head lamps. The lower side of front bumper gets fog lamp housings placed just above the large vertical air dams. Bonnet is wide and features sharp lines.
Sides feature all black outside rear view mirrors, body coloured door handles and alloy wheels. Shoulder line is prominent and is supported by multiple creases. There is a slight gap between arches and tyres which could have been avoided. Rear is designed aesthetically with minimalistic styling, it gets a sporty integrated spoiler, a set of wide tail lamps and reflectors on the body coloured bumper. Volkswagen Polo InteriorPolo’s cabin gives an up market feel, the use of premium quality plastic and material coupled with top notch fit and finish is very familiar with other Volkswagens around. This gives Polo a cusp over rivals which usually suffer in this department. Styling is done in typical Volkswagen style, the cabin features dual tone colour scheme.
The central console is highlighted by the silver accents. AC vents sit on the top of the console beneath which several buttons are placed followed by a large display and dials/buttons. A cooled glove-box is present on the passenger side and there are several practical practical storage points within the cabin.
The instrument cluster is wide and clearly visible; a three-spoke flat bottomed steering wheel with mounted controls is fitted for the assistance of driver. Chrome finish is evident around dash-mounted side AC vents, gear knob and steering wheel. Door pads feature large pockets and bottle holders.
Legroom is generous in front seat, but rear does not provide comfortable leg and shoulder space.
